El Clásico, which is one of the biggest and most anticipated matches in football history. After Brazil and Argentina, if there is another iconic rivalry, then it would be between Barcelona and Real Madrid.
And, recently the uproar by fans was started when the RFEF (Royal Spanish Football Federation) decided to postpone the first match of 2019-20 on 26th October.

Although RFEFhasdecided on a new date, which is the 18th December,LaLigahassomething else onits mind. It protestedagainst this decision of RFEFon the grounds that the match fell in the middle of the week.
President of LaLiga, Javier Tebas, is dead against the proposal. He has stated that La Ligaprefers the match to be held in its original timing, which is the 7th of December.
In an interview, he has clearly stated that he has no intention of agreeing with the proposaland plans on following the original plan as contracted with the two teams. And, added more to that,LaLiga will take necessary official steps to ensure that the RFEF doesn’t sabotage this plan.
He even added the grounds for legal actions such as “briefness of the resolution” and “lack of reference to legal norms.”But RFEF stuck to its initial proposal and stated that they would not reschedule the proposed date.
But the match had to be postponed anyway as last week a riot broke out when many political leaders were sentenced to prison.
Fans are still eagerly waiting for the match to be renewed and are still hoping to enjoy the rivalry of two of the best teams in football history. But, no more news was updated as the date is still an issue between La Liga and RFEF.
So, time will tell when the next El Clasicotakes place.
